This includes manual therapy, osteopathic techniques, sports injury rehabilitation, sport specific strength and conditioningrunning gait assessmentbike fitsPilates, hydrotherapy, shockwave, acupuncture, and massage. We are all very sports focussed so you can expect hands-on treatment in conjunction with rehabilitation in our large very well equipped gym.

We receive a lot of referrals from local GPs, and that’s because we provide an honest and effective service. When you see our team, you will receive a very high quality diagnosis and treatment, and be well looked after.

At Farnborough Physio, we offer one-to-one specialist Personal Training in our 140m² gym space, tailored to your needs, whether sports-specific or general training. This includes preparing for events like marathons, triathlons, golf tournaments, or skiing holidays, as well as guiding you on safe and effective exercise at any level to meet your goals.

Running gait assessment with Ben Coffey involves breaking down your running gait and analysing technique and efficiency. This is done through observing and filming running in our 140m2 gym space, not on a treadmill. Gait correction can prevent and help fix repetitive strain injuries, but also it can enable you to run faster for the same effort!

We are excited to offer physio-led sessions on our Pilates reformer. This is a dynamic system that uses resistance and support to create efficient, full-body workouts, improving strength, stability, and mobility with precise, controlled movements.

We are very proud to be opening our hydrotherapy pool on the 15th of April. Please contact us for more details.
Hydrotherapy is a form of physiotherapy treatment carried out in a warm pool heated between 32-35 degrees Celsius. Exercising in warm water can help muscles relax and reduce pain, as well as improve joint range of movement, strengthen muscles and improve exercise tolerance.

Some our team provide western acupuncture known as dry needling as a treatment modality which can be very effective for musculoskeletal problems. In conjunction with physiotherapy treatment acupuncture can be helpful for muscle injuries, reducing pain, and reducing inflammation. If you want to see a practitioner that performs acupuncture, then just let us know when you call up to book an appointment.
NB: we do not provide Chinese acupuncture. We will not treat for smoking cessation, relaxation, or systemic problems.

Ben Coffey is qualified to do soft tissue and joint injection procedures at Farnborough Physio. This can involve injecting medications such as local anaesthetics and corticosteroids for pain relief and treating persistent inflammation. Injection-therapy can be beneficial when a joint, bursa, or tendon sheath is not improving with usual medication and physiotherapy advice and guidance.

In some cases when a joint or a bursa is enlarged due to an effusion of excess fluid, this can be aspirated. This is a minor surgery procedure that we offer at Farnborough Physio and all patients requesting this will be directed to speak to our Advanced Practice Physiotherapist Ben Coffey to ensure it is clinically appropriate and safe, taking into consideration all the potential risks and side effects.

Hyaluronic acid injections are available at Farnborough Physio with our Advanced Practice Physiotherapist Ben Coffey. This procedure can be beneficial for improving the mechanical movement of a joint through visco supplementation.

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared heaters to emit infrared light, which is then absorbed by the skin and body tissues. This causes the body to heat up from the inside similar to the way sunlight heats the body. Unlike traditional saunas, which heat the air around you, this is considered a more efficient and comfortable way to experience the benefits of sweating.

Shockwave therapy is a brilliant technology that has grown in popularity over the last five years. We’ve been using shockwave for several years, mostly for tendon problems such as tendonitis (often referred to as tendinopathy or tendinitis) and also chronic muscle pains. Shockwave can be uncomfortable, but we will use an appropriate strength to manage any soreness that you may experience. Shockwave can be very effective for conditions such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, shoulder tendonitis, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and patella tendonitis.

Pilates classes at Farnborough Physio are run by Gibwa Williams. She also specialises in pelvic health during pregnancy and postpartum. Please navigate to her website for more details: www.bellystrong.com

Some of our physiotherapists offer sports massage. Sessions are usually 30 minutes but longer sessions can be requested.
